Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
-
Minimum 4 to 6 years of commercial/industrial/residential HVAC retrofit experience.

Valid Colorado driver’s license with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI’s in previous 5 years.

Must successfully complete background check, drug screen, physical conditions of employment job screen, and team interview as condition of employment.

EPA refrigerant certification Type II or Universal.

Working knowledge of personal protective equipment and safety practices.

Good work ethic and the desire to advance professionally and personally.

Demonstrate the ability to work alone or part of a team.

Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and work proficiency with computers and hand-held devices such as smart phones, tablets, etc.

Good listening and communication skills in order to communicate clearly with customers, fellow technicians, support staff, and supervisory personnel.

Ability to work in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions on rooftops, outside of buildings, and residences, crawlspaces, attics, and other types of confined spaces.

Work from either a step ladder, extension ladder, or man lift with no fear of heights.

Demonstrate good customer service skills, communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and common-sense judgement.• Attends all required and pre-scheduled training classes for personal and professional advancement.

Listens to, assist, learn from, and pay attention to instructions from supervisors, coordinators, and more experienced personnel.

Work flexible hours and some overtime on occasion depending on installation access requirements.
Job Duties and REsponsibilities
- Supervision, code oversight, planning, and layout for the installation of equipment and piping systems for HVAC, Mechanical, and Piping systems.
- Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret mechanical, piping, electrical, and control, drawings, blueprints, retrofit layouts, schematics, piping and mechanical code specifications for commercial mechanical and piping equipment, ductwork and distribution piping installations.
- Installation of rooftop, make-up air, furnace, boiler, chiller, heat pump, condenser, exhaust, energy recovery, unit heater, mini-split, variable air volume, zoning, dampers, actuator, pumps, and zone valve equipment.
- Installation of supply, return, and outside air ductwork systems.
- Installation of hot water, chilled water, and condensate drain piping systems.• Per code requirement, can successfully demonstrate performing the math calculations necessary to properly size mechanical ductwork and piping.
- Demonstrates an excellent working knowledge of mechanical ductwork and piping theory, refrigeration, hot water, chilled water, and drain piping systems.
- Successfully supervise installation, repair, or replacement of refrigeration, hot water, chilled water, drain distribution systems, and piping circuits including mechanical equipment, plumbing equipment, piping types, piping materials, fitting types, valve types, and testing equipment for residential and commercial installations.
- Certification or proven skills in brazing techniques utilizing an oxygen/acetylene torch.
- Verify compliance and functionality of installations. Correcting ductwork, piping, connections, and terminations on equipment as required.
- Troubleshoot and test equipment, parts, piping, and fittings for leaks, restrictions, and proper flow.
- Performs preventative maintenance and testing of mechanical and plumbing systems including ductwork and piping distribution systems.
- Demonstrates an excellent working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing code requirements, safety policy, and company quality control protocols.
- Demonstrates the ability to coordinate with other trades on jobsites, work alone, or as part of a team.
- Maintains workflow schedule to ensure productivity objectives are met.

Schedule:
• 8-hour shift
• Day shift (normally 7am-3:30pm)
• Monday thru Friday
Education:
• High school or GED equivalent (Required)Experience:
